Hi Gerd I'm just starting to test the problem area I found yesterday, but, comparing log files, with no-arcs-first.patch applied I got the message: WARN: uk.me.parabola.imgfmt.app.net.RoadNetwork 74210002.osm.pbf: Turn restriction (no_u_turn) http://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/5975593 ( at http://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=51.050000&mlon=-1.348031&zoom=17) can't locate 'from' RouteNode for 'from' way 397748521 and there were quite a few: WARN: uk.me.parabola.imgfmt.app.net.AngleChecker 74210001.osm.pbf: sharp angle < 1\302\260 at 50.917902,-1.350796 ,maybe duplicated OSM way with bearing 126\302\260 messages that were different. route1.patch by Steve Ratcliffe (modified) - reverts the size improvements introduced with r4360, but seems to improve routing on devices - I added undocumented option --x-no-force-end-nodes-routing-nodes which can be used to get the previous behaviour of r4555
