Hi Marko, I downloaded your osm2img.sh script. I think, I see my mistake now (correct me, if I'm wrong): 1. When I start mkgmap without "--gmapsupp" I get an IMG file, that is a single layer in a map. 2. To get a complete map, I have to combine all these layer-IMGs to a map. I do this, when I start mkgmap with "--gmapsupp". Best regards, Markus -------- Original-Nachricht --------

My commandline options are:

How do you compose the gmapsupp.img?
I used different random numbers for the IDs.
I use --product-id=1 for all layers in my gmapsupp.img, and use a different family-id for each layer, both when generating the .img files and when composing the gmapsupp.img. You can get my osm2img.sh from http://www.polkupyoraily.net/osm/ if you are interested.
For what it is worth, the Edge 705 does not display the --description anywhere. It only displays the --family-name and allows maps to be enabled or disabled by --family-id (which are identified in the dialog by family-name). I have understood from others' reports that the GPSMap 60CSx displays the --description. I have not seen the map selection dialog of any other device than my Edge 705.
Best regards,
