Hi Martin, I don't know whether this is correct or not but it worked … I downloaded and unzipped a file called europe from http://www.navmaps.eu/wanmil/ and added --bounds=europe to my mkgmap call to get rid of an error regarding bounds. I can now transfer a searchable map to my gps unit from my mac again :) Does that sound about right? Thanks, Cliff
