Hi Martin, Unfortunately, all I seem to be able to do is use the --location-autofill=nearest option. So I don't seem to be able to take advantage of the new improvements. I did create preprocessed .bnd files using the --createboundsfile option on my 6*obm.pbf files, but then using --location-autofill (defaulting to the latterly created bounds directory) does not produce a searchable map on Basecamp or GPS. Perhaps this is explained by the admin boundary status at http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Admin_level#admin_level Thanks, Cliff On 27 Jul 2011, at 12:29, Clifford Nolan wrote:
Hi Martin,
I don't know whether this is correct or not but it worked … I downloaded and unzipped a file called europe from http://www.navmaps.eu/wanmil/ and added --bounds=europe to my mkgmap call to get rid of an error regarding bounds. I can now transfer a searchable map to my gps unit from my mac again :)
Does that sound about right?
Thanks, Cliff
