Gerd, If I skip merging the Vlaanderen address data then splitting goes well. I have uploaded my 'corrupt' Benelux data which goes wrong (incl the Vlaanderen addresses) here: http://mijndev.openstreetmap.nl/~ligfietser/test/benelux.o5m
