Hi Steph, the file lon-65.00_-64.00lat3.52_3.53_srtm1v3.0.osm.pbf doesn't seem to contain valid data. It contains lots of ways with contour tags but the ways are much too close to each other and elevation values are often too low, e.g. ele=-14050 You can open the file in JOSM.
