I'm using phygtmap http://katze.tfiu.de/projects/phyghtmap/ <http://katze.tfiu.de/projects/phyghtmap/> for the creation of contourlines maps. phygtmap automatically downloads the elevation data from several sources. Some sources provide the data in the geo-tiff format, others in the hgt format. phygtmap can handle both formats. Are there any plans for mkgmap to also support the geo-tiff format ?
