Hi Mark, thank you for testing the map at your etrex, this was the final hint. I had success!! :-)) It was a setting in the routing options. Einstellung -> Routing -> Straßennavigation -> Fahrgemeinschaftsspuren (Settings -> Rounting -> Road Navigation -> multiuser?? lanes (dont know the english word, last checkbox at bottom)) This was set on my etrex. With this option set it comes to the obscure routing only at secondaries. Whitout this setting routing works very well. Thank you again. This would mean, that there is some information in the nod network isn't set correctly.
I also tried routing across the boundary using my etrex and didn't see any oddness. This evening, I hope to do some more testing in case I was just lucky!
