[mkgmap-dev] alternate maps on a new Nuvi 50LM?

another OSMer here in the Capital District of NY is having a difficult time getting a an alternate map from mkgmap working in a new Nuvi 50LM (he had no troubles with a Nuvi 265.) has anyone tried this device with an mkgmap sourced map and had any issues (or not had any issues)? thanks, richard
