I think it really depends on the garmin device how it handles the road pois. On my Nuvi 360 I never found a special category for the road pois. The only way to use them is to do a search over all pois. I'm pretty sure that my changes didn't change anything in that area. I personally always use --road-name-pois=0x2900 for my maps because the default value 0x640a lack support for address information.

Unfortunately on the 605 there is no way of searching all POIs, you can only search all POIs within categories so I'm guessing that unless there's a way of assigning the POIs to a category that this won't work for me. Cheers Paul
