[mkgmap-dev] address search in Canada

Hi all, due to bad CanVec imports many (> 10000) streetnames in addr:street tags have duplicated spaces, so that the name is not exactly like that of the matching road. Example: "Rue Principale" instead of "Rue Principale" appears 8470 times. "Rue Notre-Dame Est" instead of "Rue Notre-Dame Est" appears 614 times. I am not sure why there is no bot to fix this, but I think it would be okay to remove any duplicated blank from road names while processing them with mkgmap? Gerd
