Hi Josef, the problem is caused by the floodblocker. It happens also for bigger tiles in your map, but for this one the way http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/71399747 is the problem. It is tagged description:de = Geführte Wattwanderroute but the floodblocker recognizes these points as "land" points. A much bigger tile is blanked out because of http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/77768019 I think the rules for the floodblocker have to be changed, but I am not sure how. @WanMil: What do you propose to do in such a case? Hi Gerd,
Downloadlink for the coastline file:
http://www.file-upload.net/download-7200950/coastline_germany.osm.html
The file is an extract from http://www.fabianowski.eu/osm/coastlines/coastlines_europe-latest.osm.pbf created with osmosis:
/home/jolatt/OSM-Karte/osmosis/bin/osmosis --read-pbf file=./coastlines_europe-latest.osm.pbf --bounding-polygon file=/home/jolatt/OpenStreetMap/coastline.poly --tf accept-ways natural=coastline --tf reject-relations --used-node --write-xml file=coastline_germany.osm
sed s/"-1"/"1"/g -i coastline_germany.osm

Hi Josef,
I assume that coastline_germany.osm contains data that the new multipolygon cut algorithm in mkgmap cannot handle. Please post a download link to this file.

Hi,
attached are two screenshots mkgmap-r4281.png and mkgmap-r2459.png. In the first there you can see missing sea.
Map is created with splitter-r283 (max-nodes=1200000).
mkgmap is called with these parameters: java -ea -Xmx2024M -jar /home/jolatt/OSM-Karte/mkgmap/mkgmap.jar \ --description=OSM_DE \ --country-name=Deutschland --country-abbr=DE \ --name-tag-list="name:de,name,int_name" \ --style-file=/home/jolatt/OSM-Karte/style/ \ --coastlinefile=/home/jolatt/OSM-Karte/coastline_germany.osm \ --generate-sea=extend-sea-sectors,close-gaps=4000,floodblocker \ --family-id=3333 \ --series-name=OSM_Deutschland \ --area-name=Deutschland \ --overview-mapname=OSM_Deutschland \ --tdbfile \ --draw-priority=25 \ --code-page=1252 \ --ignore-maxspeeds \ --ignore-turn-restrictions \ --ignore-osm-bounds \ --add-pois-to-areas \ --add-pois-to-lines \ --max-jobs=2 \ -c template.args 3333.TYP
Any hints?
BTW, my knowledge using mkgmap isn't good.
Thanks Josef
