Hi, i found some highways tagged with 'oneway=*-*1'. It means, the highway is accessible in the wrong direction. Question 1: does the default style change that ? I found no string in the style including oneway=-1 . Question 2: or do mkgmap change the direction automatically without any needs in the style ?If not, how can we add that in a style rule ? Thomas

BTW, i can remember some years ago when i have not used OSM Data on may Garmin but on a smartfone navigation system with OSM, there was the same fault on that device with a long detour. Hm, i will check out which should be the correct tagging of a road which are forbidden i.e for lorries of a specific weight and for all other cars this road is allowed. Regarding this specific street i have made a number of tests, moving the destination point on my garmin further down the road. And during these tests i found some points, where the garmin refuses to use the short way and proposes a longer detour. Hi may be that somebody has an idea why the routing of my gpsmap 276Cx is so crude. I'm using almost the standard style to build my own garmin maps. And as the example is mostly in the vicinity of my hometown,i had not experienced this error before, as i need not a gps in my home area. If you look at picture 20190924_173131.jpg this is a routing i would expect to the destination, short and fast. If you look at 20190924_173229.jpg, the destination is only a few meters away from the first one, the routing is nearly three times more than before with the same settings on my device. I would appreciate any advice what to change or any hint where i can look for why this could happen. The patch changes this because the important information is that previous interval ends at this node. extended & routable types at different resolutions

Hi All I noticed default style uses extended types for roundabouts with a matching routable line. However extended lines are plotted starting at a lower resolution, ie Resolution 24 junction=roundabout & (highway=trunk | highway=trunk_link) [0x0c road_class=4 road_speed=2 resolution 24 continue] Resoiution 18 junction=roundabout & (highway=trunk | highway=trunk_link) [0x10801 resolution 18] In this case it does not seem to matter if 0x0c starts at resolution 24 rather than 18, or does it? Can we presume that all routable lines only require resolution 24 , ie a) highway=motorway [0x100 resolution 16-20 continue] # thinnest line b) highway=motorway [0x101 resolution 21-23 continue] # thinner line c) highway=motorway [0x01 road_class=4 road_speed=7 resolution 24] # default line Will this affect routing across tiles ? At the moment I'm adding a transparent routable line to a & b ie a) highway=motorway [0x100 resolution 16-20 continue] # thinnest line highway=motorway [0x17 road_class=4 road_speed=7 resolution 16-20 continue] b) highway=motorway [0x101 resolution 21-23 continue] # thinner line highway=motorway [0x17 road_class=4 road_speed=7 resolution 21-23 continue] Any ideas?
