Splitter feature request - clip to overall bounding box

Back in the Baltic... When I split my map, the outside edge is ragged, i.e. the tiles that reach the edge of the overall map don't finish at the same lat/lon. So having split the map, I then have to manually edit the kml file and tweak the coordinates for the outside edges to make them neat and tidy. Is it possible for the splitter to be told an overall bounding box for the map and make the outside edge match that (with rounding as required)? That would be a great time saver for me. Cheers, Mark

Problem with generating sea

Hello guys, I'm trying to create a garmin map of australia. I splitted the downloaded extract from GeoFabrik and used this template.args to compile: family-id=4421 product-id=1 family-name=AU Base draw-priority=25 transparent=no charset=latin1 code-page=1252 style-file=..\mkgmap\styles\ style=default name-tag-list=name:de,int_name,name:en,name remove-short-arcs overview-mapname=63000000 generate-sea=multipolygon series-name=AU Base tdbfile=yes mapname: 63000001 description: AU Base input-file: 63000001.osm.gz mapname: 63000002 description: AU Base input-file: 63000002.osm.gz [...] mapname: 63000011 description: AU Base input-file: 63000011.osm.gz But what I get now is a big mess-up. It looks like almost the continent is flooded :) Is there a workaround to make that look better? Perhaps another generate-sea option? If not, do I have to leave out the generate-sea option and be happy with just the coastline drawn as a pure black line? Best regards

Attached you find a 4th patch (mp branch) to improve multipolygon handling (don't bother about my counting - I haven't posted all patches ;-) Changes: * Inner and outer tags are now considered. The last patches autogenerated the relationships which did make problems on tile boundaries if the multipolygon wasn't contained completely . * Simple closing algorithm of polygons if they are not closed. This improves the handling on the tile boundaries. * Improved tag handling Please commit this to the mp branch. I will post another patch which is ready for the trunk (less debug statements). [PATCH v1] Changed OSM-Url to show a small needle

The attached patch changes the OSM-URL (toOSMURL()) so that a small needle is shown at the location of the Coord. The current OSMUrl has no clear indication of the real location of the Coord. WanMil

Polygons that are recognised/fabricated by the sea generation code should not have any tags that could generate a line as they would stop the polygon from being generated. An obvious candidate is the "boundary" tag which will often be applied to coastline. So as an interim measure, this commit removes "boundary" tags from island polygons. Perhaps a better solution would be to remove all tags except for the various "name" tags. That way, the island polygon is guaranteed to be generated.

[PATCH v1] FakeIdGenerator

The Osm5XmlHandler creates fake ids for automatically generated elements. The attached patch sources this out to the new FakeIdGenerator which can also be used by other classes. This will be necessary for the upcoming multipolygon patch. I also think that some other classes might use fake ids (I haven't search the code base yet). The class ensures that an id is used only once. WanMil
