Hi all, I think we should add this line add the beginning of points and lines to improve address search in the Czech Republic: addr:streetnumber=* & addr:housenumber=* & addr:conscriptionnumber=* { set mkgmap:housenumber='${addr:streetnumber}' } See http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:addr:streetnumber and the house numbers near the roads named Armády near: http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/22698984 The addr:streetnumber(s) follow the usual odd/even system while the addr:conscriptionnumber(s) are more or less random. Routing across tiles is not working...

Hi guys, Maybe my question is basic, but I've researched ever manual, websites and blogs searching a solution and have not found. Therefore, you are my last hope. I am partitioning a map with slplitter using the parameter "num-tiles" and then compiling the generated tiles with mkgmap. The problem is that in MapSource I can not route between the tiles. It seems that the majority of ways bordering had their last node (bound) removed in splitter processing. See image below: [image: Imagem inline 1] And in the rare cases where there is continuity at the border, the routing is not working: [image: Imagem inline 2] Please help! What am I doing wrong? computing power mdx/mdr

Hello @all my PC is not he best machine. 4GB RAM & Intel CoreDuo 3GHz 64bit Win7. Making maps from Europa is no problem, but at the end of the process, mkgmap failed to build mdx/mdr. For the website www.speichenkarte.de i need germany and a few kilometers more. Size of the files after "splitter" is 2,8 Gb and 213 img-files. mkgmap 3426 is to be able to build this. mkgmap 3472 failed to build mdx/mdr. Also the gmapsupp dosn´t work/no shown. Need 3472 needs more computing power than 3426? Is it possible change mkgmap, to create mdr/mdx and gmapsupp wiss less cumputer power? Best regards Arndt P.S. Overview map in gmapsupp.img?

Hi, is there a way to include the overview map in the gmapsupp.img without having to run mkgmap another time? Making site relations visible

Can someone give me information about rendering relations. I have tagged some relations of type=site but they don't show up in my maps. One such site is a named group of three apartment buildings. The relation itself has a name tag and each building is merely tagged as building=yes. I've had trouble with relations before and although they are the correct way to tag certain groups of objects the fact that they seem not to render properly exasperates me. Unfortunately, the relations style file that I am using deals only with routes. This is not really a development question but you're the experts. If you think this question should be asked elsewhere, please make a suggestion. Cheers, Dave

Oneway

I'm wondering if someone could explain to me how oneway arrows are applied to ways. My oneways display as they should on my Garmin GPS and in Basecamp but from reading the style file for lines I can't understand how mkgmap determines the direction of the oneway. Here are two lines from my lines style file: # display direction arrows on highways highway=* & (oneway=yes | oneway=1 | oneway=true) [0x10000 resolution 24 continue with_actions] highway=* & oneway=-1 [0x10001 resolution 24 continue with_actions] My TYP file shows the 0X10000 type as arrows pointing left to right while, as expected, the 0x10001 line has arrows pointing the other way. But how then does mkgmap cause arrows to display pointing right to left in cases where oneway !=-1, which is the vast majority of cases? the north sea is empty

Hi not only the north sea, other sea polygons, too i use these options to create my maps over a long time for my own devices i use a smaller daily used map around bonn/germany without any coastline, so i can't say what is wrong and since which time. as example the command line options for the sri lanka extract and some lines from the mkgmap log any hints?
