Small holes in boundary coverage

Hi, I have compiled world bounds using the performance branch. They can be downloaded from http://www.navmaps.eu/wanmil/bounds_perf_20120313.zip. I have checked the coverage of different admin_levels with the BoundaryCoverageUtil. The result for admin_level=2 can be downloaded from http://files.mkgmap.org.uk/detail/61. Some countries are missing (USA, Canada, some african countries). I assume that their boundaries were/are corrupt. The more interesting thing is that there are small holes throughout the world in admin_level=2. They seem to be created by the bounds preparation and should not be there. Please test performance branch

Hi all, I want to merge back the performance branch with big improvements to the time required by the LocationHook which assigns zip/city/region and country information for address search. Please test the performance branch now so that remaining problems can be fixed before merging it back. I have created bounds file covering the whole world with data from April 1st. java error

Hi WanMil, tested the performance branch of mkgmap with your new bounds on an extract from europe, containing Germany + 50 km + Iceland. Works as advertised without error! UliBär

how to build mkgmap with local ivy copy?

Hi, I want to build mkgmap without any internet access, so that I can play with it on travel or in our build system, which does not have internet access. But even if I have a local copy of ivy installed, the mkgmap build system always tries to fetch it from repo1.maven.org. How I can tell the build process to use the local copy in /usr/share/java ? Bug in splitter?

Hi, I try to split SRTM data with splitter r200, but splitter only creates one big tile. Some interesting statistics from osmconvert: nodes: 2518069911 ways: 27074150 node id min: 1 node id max: 2679465052 Ok, I'm a little bit above a 32bit signed integer, but: Splitting nodes into areas containing a maximum of 6.000.000 nodes each... Area (30.8935546875,-125.0244140625) to (50.2294921875,-101.9970703125) contains -1.776.905.107 nodes. DONE! This looks like an overrun somewhere. At first I thought it's the 32bit int overflow, but for this the number is far too high. Any ideas what's going wrong here?
